Trevor Cook, an outstanding student from Canon City, Colorado, recently received a $5000 scholarship funded in part through Bridgestone Firestone and awarded through the WyoTech Scholarship Foundation.
In his scholarship application, Trevor says, "I like challenges and with the constant change in technology, the field of automotive technology will pose many challenges for me to tackle." Eager to get a jump-start on his education, Trevor actually graduated high school mid-year and began classes at WyoTech in Feburary, a full four months ahead of his peers.
Trevor has considered his future very carefully, and will not be content to stop learning at any age, aiming to be a top student at WyoTech, a Master ASE Certified Technician in the field, a service manager, and eventually owning his own shop, which he says is a "dream come true".
"Thank you WyoTech Scholarship Foundation for this Bridgestone Firestone Scholarship. With your help, I am looking forward to a career in the automotive industry and feel WyoTech is the perfect fit for me as I begin the next chapter of my life."
