APPLYING FOR A SCHOLARSHIP

WyoTech Scholarship Foundation awards generally range from $500 to $3000 and are applied toward a student's tuition balance at WyoTech. Awards are based on: academic performance, the quality of the personal essay, and the quality of the recommendation(s). In some cases, additional information, such as financial need, may be used to determine awards. The WyoTech Scholarship Foundation considers all applicants without regard to sex, gender, race, color, national origin, age, religion, political belief, or handicap. 

Scholarships are paid directly to WyoTech and applied to the student's tuition balance on the first day of the ninth month of class at WyoTech, so long as the student is still in class at WyoTech and has maintained the GPA noted in the award letter.  

Instructions

  1. Answer each eligibility question as it appears in your browser. This will lead you to the correct application form.
  2. Once you reach the application form itself, you may download and print out a version to complete by hand OR you may complete and submit the form online.
  3. If you choose to complete the form online:

    • Allow at least 30 minutes of your time. A personal essay is required (details in the application). You may want to compose your essay answers in a word processing document to either mail in hardcopy format OR upload with your application, which is an option, more detailed instructions follow.

    • Know the names of three (3) references along with their phone and email information to enter into the form. These should be people who are not related to you and who are not employees of WyoTech.  They should have already agreed to provide you a character reference and should be willing to be contacted by the WyoTech Scholarship Foundation.
